The Film Gallery is pleased to present the first retrospective and monograph dedicated to the American-born dancer and choreographer Clara Gibson Maxwell. Best known for her “site-responsive” performance practice, Maxwell’s work is inspired by a wide range of disciplines, including experimental film, avant-garde music, architecture, philosophy, literature, Zen meditation, and somatic approaches.
